The Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme or L.A.A.P.S aims to make new homes available for private purchase at 15-22% below their current Open Market Value.  Any homes that will be available to purchase through this scheme will be comprehensively advertised by Laois County Council.

The scheme aims to help first time buyers with the purchase of new build homes by providing them with a subsidy, bridging the gap between their Purchasing Power and the Open Market Value of the house. 

The subsidy will only be available for homes advertised as part of a Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme.
