Bus

I wish to make a submission to the proposed Draft County Development Plan 2021-2027 under Section 10.1.8.2- Bus.

The development of a quality bus service as an alternative to private car use is an essential element of both the climate action plan and an integrated and balanced public transport service to tackle rural social exclusion.

With the removal of the Bus Eireann services to our more rural areas such as Borris in Ossory,Castletown,Mountrath,Rathdowney etc and the introduction of more routes by Laois Local Link it is a matter of urgency that Laois County Council install Bus Shelters in as many locations as possible.
