Abbeyleix Town Centre Health Check Surveys
SURVEY DEADLINES HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TO SUNDAY 15TH MARCH 23:59.
We are calling on everyone in the Abbeyleix community to spread the word and help push up the response rate to the three targeted surveys.
Three bespoke surveys for Abbeyleix are being carried out as part of a Town Centre Health Check led by Abbeyleix Tidy Towns in association with Laois County Council and the South East Technological University, Carlow.
They are focussed on Consumer/Residential Survey and a Business/Commercial Survey and a Youth Survey targeting young people ages 13-18 years.
If you are not familiar with what a A Town Centre Health Check is - basically it is a comprehensive study of the town identifying its strengths, weaknesses and future opportunities. It includes surveys on land use, vacancy rates, business activity and visitor experience to guide future planning, development and regeneration.
The surveys form a central part of the ongoing Abbeyleix Town Centre Health Check and they are an important opportunity for residents, business owners and community groups to play a part in shaping the future development of their town. The survey findings will provide essential baseline data for future town centre first plans and regeneration projects.
People living in and around Abbeyleix or who work in or visit the town are being asked to fill out the most appropriate survey for them.
It only takes ten minutes and it will help our researchers understand your experiences of living in the town and your future aspirations for Abbeyleix.
Deadline for completion: By 15 March 23:59.

Findings from the survey will inform the Abbeyleix Town Centre Health Check report and contribute to a future evidence‑based plan for the town’s development.
